Shetland Folk Festival - May

Shetland Folk Festival recently celebrated its 40th anniversary with a wide range of top class artists from all over the world attending the 2022 festival. There is music for all tastes, and smashes the stereotypical image that most associate with traditional Shetland music (although this is catered for too). It truly should not be missed and is an important part of the Shetland event calendar. I was fortunate enough to interview some of the visiting artists when they arrived and expectations were high following a few years where the world virtually stood still for all performing artists, needless to say they did not disappoint with sell out concerts and high spirits and world class performances.I hope you enjoy browsing through a few of our photographs from the 2022 years event.
