Shetland by air

There are two main routes when travelling to Shetland by air through Loganair, with flights arriving at Sumburgh airport. The airport is approximately 40 minutes drive from Lerwick and is serviced by an airport bus.

Shetland by sea

An alternative popular route is travel by Northlink ferry, which will allow visitor to bring their own transport. The overnight crossing departs Aberdeen harbour in the early evening, arriving the following morning. A cabin is advisable with some including wi-fi and satellite tv channels, furthermore there is a small gift shop, cinema, cafeteria and bar on board the ship.

Airport Bus
